The Powering Jobs campaign launched the first annual jobs census measuring employment from decentralized renewables for rural electrification in Africa and Asia. The Powering Jobs Census 2019 surveyed three countries ─ India, Kenya, and Nigeria The Powering Jobs Census 2019 surveyed three countries – India, Kenya and Nigeria – in its first year, and plans to expand data collection to 25 countries by 2021, with the eventual goal of providing a global barometer of the energy access workforce.
