BEST APPROACHES TO USING DIGITAL PLATFORMS TO INCREASE ARTISAN EMPLOYABILITY
Toolkit iSkills Ltd in partnership with Habitat for Humanity recently hosted a first of its kind forum that brought together key stakeholders in the housing sector on 28 March 2019, at Simba Corp, Aspire center. The forum whose purpose of sensitizing them about the TTI online training and artisan deployment portal, saw Industry players, Regulators, and partners in the construction sector share best practices in the use of digital platforms to increase artisan employability.
During this forum which participants deemed very informative partners held positive discussions on how to learn from each other and the best possible approaches in increasing artisan employability.
Some of the key lessons learned from this forum include the value of collaborations among partners bringing in synergies with different and mutual sharing ideas of improvement. Different partners found this a great opportunity to initiate meaningful collaborations for increased youth employability in the sector. This first of a kind stakeholders forum underlined the fact that the construction/housing sector can move faster to the achievement of the national goals if different sectors collaborate.
