Monday 18th Sept marked the start of a new week in a remarkable going green style. We continue our endeavor to plant 1000 trees this month, in the spirit of ACS23 #AfricaClimateWeek

At Toolkit for Skills and Innovation, we welcomed Africa’s youngest climate finance & biodiversity champion, @EllyanneCGithae , who is relentless yet passionate about making the world a green, healthy, sustainable place. She started planting trees at age 4 and is famous for her initiatives to plant trees and stop plastic pollution.

Our Director Jane Muigai-Kamphuis led the team. With sleeves rolled up, shovel in hand, Ellyanne planted fruit trees. She planted hand in hand with our youth – nature’s superheroes in the fight against climate change!

It’s not just about planting trees; it’s about taking practical, climate-smart action. The Fruit trees planted on Monday have been carefully chosen for their contribution to food security.

Ellyanne and Toolkit youth represent the future of our planet and together, we’re crafting a more sustainable tomorrow.
